Polyethylene is a thermoplastic with a density of 0,97 g/cm³ that resists abrasion, chemical agents and caustic solutions. Its electrical properties are high and its mechanical properties feature high impact resistance and is electrically insulation l. It has excellent sliding properties with materials such as aluminum, iron, copper and other technical plastics (self-lubricating property). It is also worth mentioning that it is a plastic that does not absorb moisture (hydrophilic). It can be used in different applications such as for industrial facilities, tanks for chemical agents and also for machined parts; sheaves, wheels, bearings, pulleys, gears, washers, etc.
